👋 Hey PH, I'm Rohan Sathe, Co-Founder and CTO of Nightfall. Excited to be launching on Product Hunt today. Our vision for Nightfall stemmed from a challenge I encountered firsthand as one of the founding engineers at Uber Eats. Sensitive customer data like PII proliferated in countless ways across services, whether that be inbound support tickets, a data analytics pipeline, or a verbose logger. As we scaled, detecting and remediating this data across our apps and microservices proved to be a herculean task. It became clear that traditional data protection solutions were inaccurate and not designed to manage the large volumes of unstructured data within modern cloud environments. ☁️ Today, every company is in the business of protecting their customer’s data. This has only become more important as the cost of data breaches rises. Nightfall has been fortunate enough to have helped a broad range of organizations, from 3-person startups to Fortune 100s, classify and remediate sensitive data risk across their cloud apps. Building data protection systems from scratch is complex: training high-accuracy detectors, deploying & scaling ML models, parsing files & unstructured content, and handling immense data scale. So, we are excited to democratize our detection engine and empower developers to build data classification and protection into any app or service. The Nightfall Developer Platform is a set of APIs that allow you to send data to our detection engine for classification & protection. You can inspect both text and a broad set of file types, including images. Leverage our detectors for PII, healthcare data, financial data, credentials & secrets, and more. Here are a few use cases to spur your imagination: 🧼 Sanitize user input to prevent unnecessary collection or proliferation of sensitive customer data. 🔎 Audit and remove sensitive data in data silos and processing workflows for compliance. 🛠 Build data classification and DLP features directly into your SaaS. 🩹 Remediate sensitive data through redaction techniques like replacement, substitution, and encryption. Let us handle your data protection infrastructure so you can focus on building great products without compromising on security. You can get started for free in under 5️⃣ minutes. Can’t wait to see what you build: please feel free to reach out here or to our team at hello@nightfall.ai with any questions, feedback, or just to say hi.

@nightfall @rssathe Congrats on launching. I've fed TBs of data through the tech and it's super accurate beyond anything I've seen before.

Endless possibilities to use this with all our internal tools and workflows!!
Rohan Sathe
thanks @shauryasaluja looking forward to seeing what you build!

@rssathe Loooove the use case for sensitive data in customer support tickets – so surprised that systems like Hubspot don't have this baked in!
Rohan Sathe
@shauryasaluja that's a great use case!
Shaurya Saluja
@rssathe what are some other great use cases that I should share with my team?
Rohan Sathe
@shauryasaluja great question! Have a look here for common use cases to spark your imagination: https://docs.nightfall.ai/docs/u...
