Hello everyone! I'm Sajjad, a university student and book nerd, and this is my passion project. The product is inspired by 'The Syntopicon', a reference book published in 1952 that indexed the world's great ideas in the most influential books ever written. This product does something similar to the original Syntopicon. The aim is to trace the fundamental ideas all the great authors have wrestled with and give everyone the opportunity to explore them in an easy and accessible manner. It takes the great books and then puts their most influential ideas in backlinks. Each idea is a node in the graph, and also has an index of every single instance where the idea has been mentioned. In this way, you can see how different ideas are connected together and how they develop and evolve overtime. Built on top of Obsidian, it combines the power and flexibility of knowledge graphs with our best ideas to create a better reading experience for you, so that you can satisfy your curiosity and explore the ideas that have shaped us civilization in a fast, intuitive, and seamless manner. The project is free forever and open-sourced. You can explore the Github repo here: https://github.com/sajjad2881/Ne... Looking forward to what you all think, happy to answer any questions, and open to any feedback. Happy reading :))

WOW. I've discovered Obsidian just under a month ago and have gone done the rabbit hole of trying to find a way for it build an effective PKM. I know enough about Obsidian to also appreciate what you've done here! This is absolutely incredible and must have taken you a lot of time to build! There are a few books I'm definitely interested in diving into and I will most certainly be using Syntopicon! Congrats on launching this! Keep putting out Obsidian content, this is incredible!
