Exactly what I was looking for: a daily log tool that lets you quickly note down any achievements or other important stuff of a given day. Using Git for this is a great idea, as it is a stable format with open specifications.
A feature that should be added is to open your favourite text editor for writing the commit message, for example, vim.
Pros:Great idea and implemetation
Cons:Can't insert newlines in commit messages
