Hello Product Hunt community! 🚀 I'm Ángel, and over the past few months I've been building LetterMe with the goal of changing the way we communicate by bringing the magic of sending letters to modern times. 🟢 Main features • Delivery time depends on the physical distance between sender and receiver. • You'll get a notification when someone sends you a letter, but you won't know their identity until it arrives. • Track your letters and follow their journey until they reach their destination. 🆕 You can also send letters to yourself in the future, perfect for self-reflection and personal growth. 🟦 Why does it matter? We live in an era of instantaneity—instant rewards, content, and messages. Finding truly meaningful connections is increasingly challenging. Additionally, cases of smartphone-related anxiety have been rising year by year, especially among teenagers. LetterMe tries to go back in time to the era where or grandparents used to exchange letters. If the wanted to communicate with someone far away, they’d have to sit down, take their time to write a letter, send it to the mailbox and then patiently wait for several days or weeks for the message to arrive. And if they wished a response, they had to wait for the other person to follow the same process. There was a kind of magic in the process of exchanging letters that doesn't exist anymore. The goal of this app is to bring back the enchantment of that era, reviving those emotions. LetterMe doesn't intend to replace WhatsApp or iMessage; instead, it offers an alternative communication channel, removing the need for instantaneous responses. There's no rush to reply upon receiving a letter because the message itself will naturally take time to arrive. We also aim to inspire users to write more meaningful messages. LetterMe is amazing. It has helped me revive some of my closest relationships. There’s something special about the fact that my letters take extra time before they arrive - even tho it’s digital - I feel there’s some sort of magic to the entire process.
