Wikipedia, Blinkist and Anki go into a bar. They get drunk, they get down and whups - there it is. On knugget you can discover knowledge nuggets and keep them in mind with the help of spaced repetition.

Hallöchen PH! The stream of new information and sensations which are our daily lives today often flushes away the really valuable and productive thoughts and ideas. knugget lets you hold on to them and by pushing them back to your attention until they enter your long-term memory. While reading "How To Win Friends and Influence People" last summer, I wished for a tool that keeps reminding me of the key insights to be able to apply them in my life lastingly (Loop). Since it doesn't make sense to process the knowledge from the book and keep the fruits to myself, I came up with a network for sharing these valuable knowledge nuggets (Discover). I started knugget 7 months ago as a first-time and solo entrepreneur without a tech background (try to avoid). Two months in, @moritz_rengert joined and he does a tremendous job writing most of the code despite just having started a computer science program. Apart from that @timothy_de helps out from time to time with valuable input on how to maintain the codebase as well as the overall entrepreneurial approach. We moved knugget out of TestFlight for you guys even though it's not yet flawless. But done is better than perfect, right? Being new to the game, I am more than happy to get your feedback on: - UI / UX - Overall value proposition - Current features and feature ideas - Bugs - Or just having a chat :) If you like, join our Slack community: https://join.slack.com/t/knugget... Cheers from Germany Johannes

Reminds me of Readwise. Do we add our own snippets or do we choose topics and Knugget will curate them for us?
Johannes
@kenmoo Thanks for your question :) It does have elements from Readwise, but we want to focus more on the crowdsourcing aspect. The shortcoming of Readwise from my perspective is, that the knowledge nuggets are not refined or contextualized. In 6 months a highlighted sentence from a book will not help you much. And to share the effort it requires to refine the knowledge, we do it collectively. However, currently not everyone can share their knuggets because our recommendation engine is not yet good enough to filter out poorly written content. So at this time, only a few authors can make their knuggets publicly available. Pretty soon we will open the network for everyone to share their knowledge nuggets. Until then, we will build more social features such as follow, user profiles etc.
