Who needs this product? We have identified two things that JustLend borrowers have in common: i) They can’t access traditional sources of credit (poor credit scores; despite being in a position to repay they don’t look good on paper; underbanked) ii) They can access traditional sources of credit, but don’t want to pay high interest on loans and choose not to in favour of borrowing from friends and family with affordable interest We have identified numerous borrower use cases, according to two lenses: one - data on the top reasons that people use the Bank of Mum and Dad (BOMAD) in the UK which we expect to capitalise on (see below); and two - the data from live campaigns that borrowers have started to generate on our platform. Top reasons for using BOMAD 🛒 Student “top-up expenditure” 🏠 First home purchase 🚗 First car bills (not inc first car) 💳 Small business 🏚 Home improvements Live campaign use case examples (roughly in order of magnitude): 🏠 Home improvements 🚗 Car purchase / repairs 🏫 Education - courses and training 🖥️ Appliance replacement 🐕 Unexpected bills incl. vet bills 🏥 IVF treatment 🧾 Debt consolidation
