@jscheel pocketsphinx.js is a port of sphinx, so the same differences between sphinx and julius apply - they're both large open-source projects that use slightly different models for their speech recognition. I tried to give juliusjs a small barrier-to-entry, but they both require an underlying vocabulary and grammar from which to find words/sentences.
