Keep Your Team On Track Harvey is the open source project that brings Harvest time tracking into Slack. Contribute Harvey for your team on Github: https://github.com/invokemedia/harvey-serverless
We came across the opportunity for this product when our Project Managers were constantly having to switch from Slack (where everyone is at all times) to Harvest to get updates on weekly reports. Who was missing hours? Which projects were burning hot/cold?
We ended up having to write a handful of custom scripts to get this information, and after a year of using this ourselves, we figured there may be some other PM teams that use Harvest and Slack together that could benefit from the features of Harvey. Especially if they're looking to actively use up-to-date reports of hours tracked so they can stay on top of their teams and project burn.
Right now, Harvey will:
✅Know Your Project Status - Get realtime updates and a helpful weekly summary about how your teams' hours are tracking.
A and in the future, Harvey will:
✅Customize Your Notifications - You get to set notification frequency, types, and content to fit what your team needs.
✅Dish Out Props - Recognize great habits, like who recorded their hours, and keep the whole team motivated to get their hours in on time and accurate.
✅Keep it Subtle with DMs - Harvey pops up in the DMs to remind people what to do. It's a productive level of annoyance that skips the public shaming.
We'd love to hear feedback - feel free to leave comments/questions for the makers here or info@harvey.works
As an update to Harvey, the team has decided to make it an open source project to allow all teams to host, and customize the reports to their individual needs.
Due to the reality of time, the team is unable to maintain Harvey in an everlasting way to continuously evolve it. At Invoke, we try to make the best decisions for the product's longevity and health, and opening Harvey up to individuals to contribute to felt like a good move to keep Harvey alive.
Thank you to all those who have downloaded Harvey - it remains alive and well and functional, but now the possibilities are endless and we can't wait to see what the community does with it! Please @ the Makers to show off the neat stuff you product from https://github.com/invokemedia/h....
