Hey Product Hunt! I'm very excited to launch the Hacker News Slack Bot, built with Vercel Functions & Upstash. Features: ◆ One-click install to Slack ◆ Slack notifications for keyword mentions on HN ◆ Link preview w/ post details + parent title ◆ Open-source, clone & deploy your own How it works: 1. We set up a cron job that securely invokes our `/api/cron` endpoint every minute. 2. The cron gets the latest HN post ID & our last checked ID and scans all posts in between for keyword matches. 3. Once a match is found, send it to the respective Slack channel. Bonus: We also use Slack's `chat.unfurl` API to show a nice link preview for all Hacker News links sent in your Slack workspace. Great work, @steventey! Congrats on the launch! Do you have any plans to support Discord as well? A lot of communities are moving to Discord and Rocket Chat due to Slack's new policy about old messages.
