Hey ProductHunt, I’m Richie, cofounder of Forage Mail! 👋

Forage has seriously changed my relationship to my inbox, and I'm excited for more of you to experience it.

The Problem

Email is the glue that holds our lives together. Calendar invites, receipts, notifications, newsletters, (and more) all end up in our inbox. But, it's like a digital junk drawer that other people put things in and then we have to sift through them every day.

And it never ends! Even if we get to the bottom today, it just fills back up again tomorrow.

What is Forage Mail?

Forage is not a new email app you need to learn. It’s an AI that plugs right into your Gmail account and filters out your low-priority mail. Then, it sends you a clean daily summary with everything it filtered out—including a TLDR of every newsletter you received.

Forage AI auto-labels emails, learns from your preferences, and gives you full control with custom rules. You can continue using any email app you prefer while Forage works in the background to streamline your inbox.

Works with every mail app
Forage doesn’t replace your mail app. It connects to your Gmail account and runs in the background. So you can continue checking email as usual.

A beautiful daily summary

Forage sends you a daily summary email with everything it filtered out of your inbox. It groups emails by type and summarizes your newsletters—this makes it easy to skim, scan, and move on.

A TLDR for every newsletter

Ever find it hard to keep up with your favorite newsletters. Now, you can get the key points in your daily summary email and decide which articles you want to read in-full. Forage even gives you an estimated read time for each article.

Protects your inbox from unwanted senders

Forage makes it easy to unsubscribe from any sender with one click. You can also mute entire categories of email so they never show up in your inbox. Sometimes, senders don’t respect your unsubscribe request, but Forage is able to hide them anyway.

You’re always in control

Forage AI makes intelligent decisions so it works well out-of-the-box. It learns from your preferences so it gets smarter the longer you use it. You can also create custom rules so you can decide exactly how your email is handled.

How to get started

Forage takes 30-seconds to set up. All you need to do is connect your Gmail account and Forage will create your first summary with the last 24 hours of email in your inbox. Then it will continue monitoring for new emails going forward.

We have a 14-day free trial, and you can get 10% off for life using the discount code on this PH launch page.

We’d love to hear your ideas, feedback, and questions!

Special thanks to all the early testers who have helped guide the product over the last few months. You all are real ones. Thank you!

@busmark_w_nika We can definitely help with that! Btw, so glad you commented because I've been looking for your product, minimalist phone. I saw a picture of it once, but never knew what the product was called. I'm excited to give it a try!

The world is small! :D There are many alternatives but only one that has been there for 4 or 5 years :)

I started with skepticism and ended with inbox zero after struggling for 6 months.

"Another email app? C'mon." or so I thought.

I'm a newsletter hoarder and I have thousands of unread emails that I had to spend a good chunk of time to sift through daily (to leave my favorite/potentially useful ones unread). This made email a source of anxiety when it used to be a curated learning space (without the noise of social media).

But I subscribed to a paid plan just one week into my two-week free trial. It was a no-brainer because I cut down my email time to 5 minutes AND went through all the new emails each day.

If you've tried many "inbox zero" apps but still end up with tons of emails, you need Forage Mail ASAP. Don't view it as another email interface like Spark or Superhuman, but more of an integration that wraps & summarizes your inbox to help you prioritize what to consume or spend time on.
