Hey PH! We know this isn’t the first ever forms-as-a-service tool. It’s not even the first one to hit PH. We built it a few years ago because we had tried all the others and they were all lacking. Complicated pricing schemes… unreliable email delivery… no dashboard… no Zapier… exposing your email address right in the URL… we had to make our own tool. So, we’ve finally released FieldGoal! It’s been in beta for years but we’ve got a fresh new design, a completed Zapier integration, a dashboard for managing form submissions and spam controls and form-specific settings, and more. 📘Common use cases The most common use case for a tool like FieldGoal is when you’re building a static web site and need a contact form and you don’t want to waste your time setting it up, hooking it into email, creating a dashboard, managing spam, setting up an email sending tool, etc. 🔮Clever ideas But I also just used it recently to build a simple poll on my site (using our free JavaScript package “easy-embeddable-polls”, https://github.com/tightenco/eas...). We have some folks talking about using it for WordPress form submissions. And we’re excited to brainstorm new ways to use it in creative JavaScript packages. 🔀Simple setup It couldn’t be easier to point a brand new form to FieldGoal, and once you’ve done that, you can use Zapier to send your data anywhere you want. Even without Zapier, you can get an emailed copy of every form submission and you can see all of your form submissions in a beautiful, responsive dashboard. @saifalfalah @srameshrr Yah, Netlify Forms and Formspree are great as long as their built-in limitations and pricing structures work for what you're building. 👌

@srameshrr @saifalfalah Netlify Forms does not warn you when you approach the free 100 submission limit and jumps to a hefty 20$ per month with your 101st submission. You should only use it if you know you will certainly stay below the 100. Had bad surprises a couple of times already – and no, it does not feel like money well spent.

How does it compares to formspree.io? They seems to be much cheaper as they offer unlimited forms and submission for just $9/month compared to your $79/month for only 50 forms and also they have a free tire for upto 50 submission per month.

@biraj Great question! Formspree only saves 1000 entries per month on their paid plan, and we also offer smarter-than-recaptcha spam protection. Additionally, we have what we think is a pretty great internal dashboard, and you can connect your forms to Zapier, as well. If we had been a little more prepared for getting hunted we would have had some materials ready showing the internal dashboard and some sample Zaps... I'll definitely get that ready so future folks will have an easier time seeing what else we offer other than just form-to-email.

@biraj @stauffermatt That's not true, Formspree saves 1000 submissions on Free plan and Unlimited submissions on paid plan. Plus, they are open source, so you can install it on your own https://github.com/formspree/for...

@haliminfinity I just visited their site and it says this under their paid plan: “If you ever missed a submission email, for any reason, you can just login and read your last 1000 submissions”. If you’re right, you may want to suggest they update their home page. :) thanks!
