I've found it can be harder than you'd think to find a tool to just make a simple screen recording. There are quite few that are offer some pretty robust editing features. But that also typically means it can be complicated and time consuming. Donzo doesn't offer any of that fancy stuff. But it is super simple and super fast. If you want, Donzo will edit your recording for you! It will do it's best to find your mistakes and cut them out. No more scrubbing through timelines to find mistakes and cut them out yourself. Again, it's not going to be perfect. And it's not going to be the fanciest. But if speed and simplicity are your priorities and you're ok with "pretty good" results. Then I think you'll appreciate Donzo. A little practical note, you may have to go into the System Settings on your computer and give permission to your browsers to allow screen recording in order for Donzo, or any screen recorder for that matter, to work. *** UPDATE! Donzo editing is much improved! It now is better at editing longer recordings AND there is an option for you to manually edit it after Donzo. You can edit the video by simply editing the transcript!

@owenfar this is such thoughtful and helpful feedback! You're right, the microphone does need to be enabled. I actually never considered that some users might want to record without the microphone. If the mic audio isn't recorded than it will cause an error in the editing process. And I've seen other comments related to questions around privacy/security and where the recording is stored. It is deleted when the user session ends. This would be good for me to clear about. And then compression is definitely a good suggestion! Thanks again!

love the simplicity but yeah, the microphone thing needs to go. not all screen recordings need sound, and that's a pretty big miss.
