Hi, Product Hunt community! I'm pleased to announce the release of a browser extension I've been working on for the last few months. While browsing the web I often feel the need to search for words and phrases I encounter, and it's not the most pleasant experience in any browser. Having to open another tab to search for meanings, examples, images, etc. is not only quite tedious, it can slow down the workflow and steal the focus from what's important. Definer is a solution that helps with those quick searches without losing the context of an ongoing research. When you select any text, it will instantly search multiple sources in multiple languages, nicely formatting the results and presenting them in a small bubble next to the selection area. That's the core idea and the main feature of the extension, but there's much more to it. This project is easily the most exciting one I've ever worked on. Creating tools to make my and other people's lives better is the main reason I've learned programming in the first place. So the development process has been extremely satisfying and fun, and I'm eager to hear the feedback if you have any.

Yep! I agree with you, @rokka! I hate moving to another tab to just search the meaning of a word... just installed it on Brave and works like a charm :)
