What do you think? …

Interesting! How does the pricing work? Do you take a cut from the price paid to Snapchat? If so, how much do you add to the Snapchat price?
Dylan Eirinberg
@callummccahon The price factors in location (if it's in a busy area or not), area size and duration. We add an additional fee on top of Snapchat which includes the cost of our service, the design etc. Our fee totally varies with Snapchat's algorithm and we're changing it all the time

Could've used it for a wedding two weekends ago!! Question: Do you ensure the design will meet guidelines so it can get approved faster? Saying this because I had to edit to remove hastags and some additonal edits to make sure it passed. Will download, never know when a geofilter is needed!
Dylan Eirinberg
@otherdev We show Snapchat's guidelines in our app, however we're trying to find ways to make it easier for people to follow them. We noticed the hashtag issue too in our soft launch and released an update blocking both hashtags and @ symbols for social media handles (and a message explaining why). Hope you enjoy the app!

@dylaneirinberg just used it for another wedding and the experience was great! There seemed to be a limit of when the filter went live depending on the submit time...figured this is due to accounting of snapchat's review time. Thank you for making it easy. Showed the app to a few people at the wedding as well!! Will use again! Congrats on a great app!

@otherdev Great! So glad you enjoyed and thanks for sharing!

Hey Product Hunt! We’re really excited to launch Confetti, the first iPhone app that allows you to design and order Snapchat Geofilters directly from your phone. After playing around with Snapchat’s On-Demand Geofilters, my brother Ethan and I realized how frustrating it must be to try to create designs without having Photoshop or Illustrator. We couldn’t understand why Snapchat, the mobile-only content-creating app, expected everyday users to not only own expensive software, but to make the service only accessible on a computer. Ethan and I began brainstorming a way to fix this issue. We wanted to create an app that was not just a design canvas, but a tool to completely replace Snapchat’s current system. After building our unique designer, we soon added on features like scheduling, mapping, push notifications for order status updates, and eventually ended up reverse engineering Snapchat’s pricing algorithm so we could price fairly. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to ask us any questions!

@dylaneirinberg This is pretty cool. We've been crushing it with Geofilter Place, and I'm sure you'll do the same!
