What do you think? …

Kane Jamison
Hi everyone, I'm Kane, the Founder of Content Harmony. Years before we started building content marketing software, we were a marketing agency, and we struggled at every client kickoff to nail down things like client voice & tone, and setting editorial expectations with freelance writers, client internal teams, and our own staff. One of the hardest parts of building great tone & voice and editorial guidelines is that not many examples are public, with the notable exception of Mailchimp's tone & voice guide, which was released publicly almost 10 years ago. Their focus was on traditional brand voice and tone, and we wanted to build an example that goes deeper on editorial guidelines and other requirements for content marketers and startups in particular. We've decided to release ours as well under the same CC BY-NC 4.0 license, to add to publicly-available examples and make it easier for other teams to build out their own guidelines. We'd love your feedback on ways to improve our own guide, making these documents better for other teams that decide to build upon them!

@kanejamison congratulations on the launch. My first thought was “Do they have these in a Google Docs format?” Great timing on this for me as I’m just starting to think about my brand and how to put style and my voice into words. 👍

If we release a templated version of our Brand Guidelines Hub, which platform would you prefer?

Great addition to an already amazing tool!

@jason_berkowitz right now we’re gonna keep it separate and free, but who knows, feedback from this could make its way into the product someday 😉
