Ben The Rooster

I came across this company through a friend of mine in Atlanta. I've taught k-12 and am really excited to see such a cool product on the market for kids! @rrhoover I think you'll like how this:) Ben the Rooster is a barnyard pen pal for kids ages 2-8. He uses the excitement of receiving mail to encourage a love for reading and writing in his little pen pals. Twice each month, Ben sends a postcard about life on the farm, and he always prompts his pen pals to write back with a specific question. Ben started sending postcards about a month ago, and kids have been filling up his mailbox with postcards about Harry Potter, Pinkalicious, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. I bought this for my 8 year old niece and she loved it. I remember as a kid how freakin awesome it was to get something in the mail. I think that novelty is waining with the digitization of everything. With Ben you can get a postcard in the mail and respond to it. I love it.
