Hey Producthunt! We are very excited to bring you a completely revamped version of BeenThere. We now offer a completely free service connecting you directly with a traveller who’s ‘BeenThere’ (been to the city/country your are going to). Travelling somewhere new? Looking to backpack across Southeast Asia? Hike in Nepal? We will connect you with an expert who can give you their genuine advice from their personal experiences. This is currently our beta, so we are doing anything possible to find you that perfect connection. Meaning, we use multiple mediums to facilitate the connections (including email, social media, and our platforms direct messaging). BeenThere completely changes the way you plan for a trip. We have heard from many travellers who are frustrated with spending hours reading through forums, blogs, and more. Stop waiting for weeks for responses, instead, have a detailed conversation and get some real and honest advice from a traveller and not an disguised business. Additional features include: - Curated content on roughly 60 cities in the world (ex. tourism, food, etc.) - Instant messaging through the platform - Direct booking through the platform via Booking.com - Ability to save any unique posts to come back to them We currently only operate through a web platform (mobile browser signup is fully functional). Simple tell us where you’re going and we work in the back-end to connect you through whichever medium is easiest for you! We are working hard to build an app soon to give our users an easier experience.
