Mainstream news sucks. And if we’re being honest, most non-mainstream news sucks too. Try Wortharead to discover newsletters and blogs that are *actually good*.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 Wortharead founder here. We built Wortharead because we were fed up with the state of news today and unsatisfied with news apps on the market. Although I helped build the Google News product, I believe a purely algorithmic feed is not the ideal way to consume information. Too much is out of your control. “Information nirvana” is finding writers you trust and enjoy for all your interests. The “algorithm part” should merely assist you in reaching this nirvana state. So with this in mind, we redesigned the news reader experience from the ground up, with the following key features: * Beautiful, sleek UX for reading and organizing your sources * Newsletters and blogs at its core—in fact, you can add *any* newsletter or blog available on the web with just their URL (simpler and more universal than RSS) * The largest database of 20k+ Substack newsletters to explore and some AI magic ✨ to help you explore it * Popular classic articles to give you context about new sources The result, Wortharead, is truly “aha moments as a service.” Check out the app and let us know any thoughts, questions and feedback! Happy reading! ✌️

This looks really promising! I've downloaded the iOS app and tried to register an account, but I can't get beyond the account creation view. When I tap the _Sign Up_ button, a loading spinner appears, then disappears, and that's it. Maybe a bug?
Crawford Ifland
@christian_schierenbeck same here. @nate_travis, any ideas? Really excited to use this product!

@christian_schierenbeck whoops 😅 yeah it looks like a bug...we're trying to fix it now, I'll reply again when it's fixed
Nate Travis
@christian_schierenbeck @crawford should be working now! we had just hit the limits of our free sendgrid account for verification emails smh... be sure to check your promotions tab for the verification email!

That’s a pretty large database! Congrats on building this - sounds like a great way to focus on what you are interested in. Is there a limit as to how many newsletters you can add?
Nate Travis
@petar-petrovic thanks! currently there's no limit. In the future, we plan to have some limit for free accounts, and no limit for premium accounts, but no immediate plans for that.
Petar Petrovic
Thank you for letting me know!
