Hello everyone! 👋 Really happy to finally share what we've been working on. We built Weberr to solve a major problem with Recruitment. The hiring industry hasn't changed much since World War II. Coming from a Tier 3 college background and not so fancy tag names in my profile, me and my friends as well personally faced this problem of landing first calls with our aspirational employers. We conducted User research to identify the major pain points of peers around us. Turns out, the success posts and the bells and whistles we see around us on LinkedIn is just 10% of the total lot. 90% of people are struggling to even get screened for interview calls (Thanks to mean ATS systems in tech giants). Referrals have been a proven source of majority source of hiring conversion in the funnel for major organisations since a long time now. However, why has this process been always a bottom-up process. Currently, people dig up their network on LinkedIn, contact list and other social platforms to connect with people working in their aspirational company and do a lot of cold-messaging. Honestly, that's something what I did as well. A growth hack. But the chances of getting a referral or even getting a response from your cold-connections is less than 5%. Moreover, there is no visibility of your application in this process at all. Our research data also showed that a lot of people don't even have level-1 contacts in great companies. And if you're not a smooth talker, you are out of this game anyway. So we planned to create a system where potential candidates can request referrals in their dream companies in a few clicks with more ease, accessibility and visibility in the entire journey. Now here comes the interesting part. The employees of leading tech organisations can now have a look at all profiles who are interested to join them. We strongly believe that a person of the same professional function evaluates other, the best. First screening and shortlisting of referrals should be a universal process and must be intervened by the employees of the companies (not just Talent Acquisition) Here's how it works: 1) Sign-up on Weberr 2) Choose companies you wish to get referred in 3) Select Job IDs (optional) of roles you want a referral for in that company 4) Fill out a few details about your profile 5) Pay per referral and done! See for yourself a working demo here - https://youtu.be/ZpLpz6vNBDE We're currently running a beta with up-skilling schools, mentor communities, Training and Placement cells of Tier 3 colleges and professional groups of mass recruiting companies. With our epicentre deeply rooted in "work based evaluation" instead of 1-1 redundant inefficient/exhausting interview processes, Weberr envisions the contrarian truth of hiring to be Instagram Reels of people's work across their professional journeys. Meanwhile, aiding influencer economy, we target to make the recruitment process hassle-free, entertaining and fulfilling for both the stakeholders - Companies and Candidates. Hence our name - Weberr (Magnetic flux density unit describing the perfect alignment of both employer and potential employee) Can't wait to answer your questions :) Excited to share this in this amazing community!
