We Read Too

Thank you for adding my app to Product Hunt @kikischirr! We Read Too is for anyone who wants to make sure kids and teens are reading books with characters from diverse backgrounds. All books featured in the app are written by Black, Latino, Native, and Asian authors whose characters were inspired by their own cultures. The directory features hundreds of books and is growing from the user suggestions that I moderate. Currently the app is only available on iPhone but later this year will be available on Android.

It can be difficult or discouraging to seek out books written by and about people of color. Kaya's app, a catalog of books with diverse characters and authors, simplifies the process, allowing you to both find and report new titles. A must-have for parents of early readers, especially.
