Virtual Museums

If your last few weeks have been anything like mine, you've probably been stuck in the house & a little bit bored. You might have also had travel plans cancelled, depriving you of a little bit of escapism. One way I found of still getting a little bit of escapism was through the idea of virtual museums. These are basically efforts to digitise a musuem's archive, or provide a streetview-like tour through the museum. There are loads of listicles floating around about the best virtual museums, but I felt like these were all lacking something, the feeling of actually travelling to these museums. I wanted to recreate this feeling as much as possible by collating all the best virtual museums on a world map, and letting you track your progress as you explore them. Would love to hear people's thoughts! :)

I just visited 5 museums remotely. Loved it!
