I tried the free demo and then immediately bought it. I can't overstate the value of being able to point this app at a directory and get a visual preview of every video file in there, then move the source files into cold storage and keep the previews on hand. Like, really! That's huge!
@zreeseplus Glad you like it, and thank you for the review! The new version in the works will also optionally extract short video previews of your videos too!
@jacqvon Thank you for the question! I was tired of the super-slow search functionality and terrible thumbnail previews in Windows (and I discovered Mac is no better).
I looked for software that could let you catalog videos on external hard drives, but there was nothing that would have a good search and also provide good previews.
And since I knew enough programming and there was a tool to make an app for Mac, Windows, and Linux in one go, I went for it. Spent almost half a year (outside my full time job), and released Vide Hub App!
I've been looking for something similar to lightroom or bridge but for handling massive video files, and being able to add tags or quickly glance through and this is it! I can't wait to see what future updates bring, this app should be widely more popular than it is for the efficiency and responsiveness it brings for archiving and managing mass amounts of video files.
