Most software projects fail due to poor requirements, Userdoc empowers your team with sophisticated AI that ensures your project has the best chance of success. Generate user stories, personas, and user journeys with amazing levels of detail.
👋 Hi Product Hunters, This is my first launch on PH and I'm excited! 🎉
TLDR; Software developers don't you hate vague or incomplete requirements?
Product owners and testers don't you hate bugs that should have been identified in the design phase, leading to time overruns and angry humans?
Well, successful software starts with amazing requirements.
And Userdoc helps you build amazing requirements and gives your software the best chance of success.
👉 WHAT WE DO
Userdoc uses sophisticated AI to generate software requirements using industry-standard concepts including:
📚 User Stories
✅ Acceptance Criteria
👩🏻🦰 User Personas
🗺️ User Journeys
But this isn't just ChatGPT - we take detailed knowledge of your system, its end users, and their goals - and build a set of requirements any developer would love to work with, and tester would love to test using.
Userdoc then integrates with your existing project management tools such as JIRA, and allows you to easily sync your requirements across for implementation - but keeping them in Userdoc as the source of truth for your system.
Userdoc is also amazing at making new requirements, as it learns from your other features, creating compliant requirements as detailed as a business analyst!
👉 WHY YOU NEED USERDOC
• Detailed & accurate requirements have been proven to give better results
• But humans are squishy, we make mistakes and can forget things
• Plus for large and complex systems, writing detailed requirements takes a loooong time!
• But we know projects with poor requirements actually cost 60% more, and take 60% longer
• Userdoc's AI is an intelligent business analyst and product owner combined in one
• And your requirements become amazing living documentation that reduce knowledge silos
• JIRA is where knowledge goes to die, Userdoc is the source of truth for your software
🙏 MY ASK
We'd love you to give Userdoc a go and let us know about your first impressions, your thoughts, feedback, and any questions you might have.
Thanks for your support! ❤️️
👋 Hey there! Just stumbled upon Userdoc and it looks like a game changer for software development! 😃 It's great to see a tool that addresses the common issue of vague requirements. 💡 I'm curious, how does the AI adapt to different project scopes and complexities? Moreover, how does Userdoc handle potential changes in requirements during the development phase? Your tool seems to offer a promising solution to a common industry problem. Looking forward to trying it out! 👍
@yura_turivny Thanks Yura, you're totally right vague and ambiguous requirements are a HUGE issue (the U.S. spends 20 billion per year fixing requirements-related issues!)
🙋♂️ How does the AI adapt to different project scopes and complexities?
Userdoc's AI understands your end user's goals and needs and with your project overview, and then uses a lot of historical information and experience to craft the requirements.
This is for initial project creation, but many users already have existing projects - so they don't use AI automation at that point but import their user stories or manually enter them.
Once your requirements are in your Userdoc project, these then become the source of truth for future requirements and additions - so our AI gets better and better as there's more detail about your system.
🙋♂️ How does Userdoc handle potential changes in requirements during the development phase?
This is key, as requirements are not set in stone. All requirements are versioned, and specific versions can be sync'd to your project management tools. When viewing a version you see the user story and acceptance criteria "diff" just as you would in Github, which shows additions/removals/changes.
Versions can allow the developers to implement say "version 5" of the user story and acceptance criteria, whilst the product owner is working on "version 6" (and perhaps the QA team are still finalizing testing of "version 4" etc.)
Thanks for your feedback Yura, and love to hear more once you've had a chance to test it out!
Congrats on the launch Chris! Very excited to see this here.
Being one of the early users of Userdoc, I can totally recommend this to all product teams out there.
I can not stand businesses that use this spammy approach mechanism of buying domains similar to their primary domain then adding you into a marketing system. I showed no interest in this product and yet they have bought an email marketing list somewhere and proceeded to spam by email with unsolicited emails with no opt-out feature.
I used this on a few projects.
Made story writing much easier.
Particularly helpful ensuring incoming changes are correctly accounted for in all existing stories and user workflows.
AI + Story writing is a no brainer. Saves heaps of mental effort.
Congratulations on your first PH launch @chrisrickard ! I think what makes Userdoc stand out is that you've integrated all the knowledge from your experience into this one platform, and then supercharged it with AI.
I found the onboarding slightly tedious with all the required forms. Could it be slightly shorter? Or maybe adding text like "Almost there..." could help.
The app itself is clean and easy to use. There are so many useful features in there, such as having multiple team members with different roles and documenting stories, user types, and journeys.
5 stars because I believe that Userdoc can set teams up for success!
