What do you think? …

Jakob Greenfeld
Hi, this is Jakob. 👋 I'm the guy behind Under the Radar. I know, I know. There's no shortage of trendspotting services. So why another one? Here's what makes Under the Radar different. 1.) Most trendspotting services include tons of trend signals that either aren't actually growing fast or that everyone already knows about. Hence I've worked hard to develop manual and automated filters that cut out all the fluff. In addition, a list of trending keywords, maybe with some "uppy and to the righty" charts, is often not that useful. So I made sure that all keywords are enriched with structured metadata (average rating, search volume, CPC, domain availability) and are embedded in their natural context. 2.) The algorithms do not just perform a random walk in keyword space. Instead, they also scan a preselected set of high-quality sources. For example, they're keeping an eye on rapidly-growing Subreddits. Oftentimes these provide a unique window into emerging cultural trends long before they're visible anywhere else. Similarly, the algorithms monitor Pinterest trends, GitHub repositories, Product Hunt launches, products listed on Amazon, Shopify stores, and SaaS businesses. This also has the advantage that all trends are categorized appropriately. So if you're just interested in, say, trending SaaS businesses, you can look at the database that only contains SaaS trends. 3.) Not just rising but also rapidly declining trends are covered. After all, the observation that interest in, say, a specific SaaS tool is dwindling can be just as interesting as a hot new app that's taking off right now. 4.) Trendspotting services typically charge between $29 and $479 per month. Under the Radar is $19/month. Let me know if you have any questions or feedback! Best, Jakob
