Hey everyone 👋 I'm Ryan, one of the co-founders of Trofi! We're a group of university students (and foodies) from Toronto aiming to put power back into the hands of local communities and farmers. We believe in the power of food to bring communities together through a shared understanding of where their produce comes from—creating an intimate connection with the producers who grow what goes on their plates 🍽️. We were inspired to build Trofi after seeing a similar model in Asian diaspora communities, where community members would band together over group chat to bulk buy specialty Asian goods. We took what we learned from participating in this process and smoothed out the inefficiencies, opening it up to support our local farmers who need help (especially now).
