@mickc79 As an operator of our own Apple Watch fitness app, I wonder what is the USP of this app? 3D animations are all well and good, but in general the user doesn't want to raise his arm for hours to watch great exercise animations. Are the animations the next generation aspect of the app? In my opinion you should make sure that the user interaction with an Apple Watch app is kept as short as possible and not artificially prolonged. I think the gamification aspect should be highlighted here. That seems to be your strength in my opinion. Even if the whole thing seems a bit too playful to me in this case. But this is only my personal opinion. What is impressive is that the app looks like it offers a different experience on every platform. Keep going! By the way we are Apple Watch only and StoreKit integration too. Pain in the ass to work with it... ;)

@mickc79 @torsten_linnecke Hey Torsten! The USP of the Apple Watch app is that the 3D animations are part of the interface design. I agree user interaction with on Apple Watch should be kept as short as possible. The gamification aspect is the main idea Treeceps was created from and for the iOS version of Treeceps it's definitely the USP. :) Thanks, it's a lot of fun to adapt Treeceps to every platform! The only missing platform is tvOS which I plan to tackle next. Yes, especially on Apple Watch testing purchases is very difficult - The simulator does not support it and debugging on a physical Apple Watch is very slow and often does not work at all. But I think it's very cool that it's possible to purchase on Apple Watch now!

“ Treeceps is one of the most impressive Apple Watch apps ever” “The most impressive app you’ve ever seen” This might be the best app ever but I’m never going to try it because meaningless, hyperbolic trash statements like that are a huge turn off. Critical feedback; can you tell us what’s good about it rather than just saying “it’s the best thing ever”. What problem does it solve that others don’t? Etc

@mickc79 Fair point, I can see why hyperbolic statements can be a huge turn off. In this case it isn't meant to just be a blank marketing statement. What Treeceps does differently from a technical standpoint compared to most other workout apps currently on the App Store for Apple Watch: It is built completely from the ground up with SwiftUI. This gives developers much more freedom to create custom interfaces than WatchKit did before. The second big technical differentiator is that Treeceps uses SceneKit throughout the app. You can view 77 different 3D animations of Exercises with 60fps in the same visual quality as with the iOS version. Most workout apps for watchOS just use images or pre-rendered videos. The only other competitor I've seen do this so far is Gymaholic, but they don't use SceneKit as much as Treeceps. Treeceps also uses StoreKit directly on the watch app so you become a member directly on your watch. Most Watch apps only do this on iPhone. Treeceps is completely independent. You can just install it from the App Store on your Watch and use it without ever having your iPhone nearby. This is why I think it's one of the most impressive workout apps on the platform and probably a watch app like you have not seen one before. Aside from these technical points, I tried to make strength training workouts as easy to track as possible with Treeceps for Apple Watch. This can be debated of course and I'm always open for new ideas or constructive criticism to make it more enjoyable to use!

I'm wondering why it's called Treeceps...does it have anything to do with trees?

@shereelouised Hey Sheree! On the iOS version of Treeceps there is a virtual fitness world where Treeceps is the main character.
