This is a significant update to a very old piece of software! I was surprised to discover it's still being maintained!

i had been using and advocating Mozilla Thunderbird for 4 years. reason? it is fast. really fast. native code is native code. polymail, spark and other fancy JS tools will never compare to a Mac app built for Mac. however, i switched to the default Mail OSX app a few months ago. what i disliked in Mozilla Thunderbird: - the cache size was the main reason. it was 42 GB. - the templates management is poor. i used a plugin for that that used to break. - you can't change the interface language. if you have never used Thunderbird i definitely recommend trying it. it takes more time to set up, but after you are set, the flow is as fast as light.

Dated. Hammers my PC's performance. Filtering is a pain in the ass.
