@adam_pelloso I don't think this really is meant to be a 'get-rich-quick scheme, in my opinion the whole NFT world seems much more influenced by greed (wich is one of the reasons of the bad publicity I think, but that's just my take). I mean the main point of internet piracy is that information and media can be shared and accesed by everyone for free. Please look at the comment of @product_at_producthunt, he posted some links with info about what's behind this project.

An NFT is not just an image, an NFT is more about the image metadata that is stored on blockchain, the image without the metadata is almost worthless.

@vfdraganescu an opensea NFT is just an image stored on a web2.0 host. no part of it is on the blockchain (edit: no part other than the transaction, lul). that is the entire point of this website and post, and is clear from the readme in the source code.

To me the actual image is what holds value. Not the metadata. Same as with real art. I like the art itself, I don’t care who “owns it” (which is meta data). But this is my subjective view. Apparently people disagree and thats why NFTs are worth money. However, you can still copy the art itself…..

I'm going to go ahead and agree with the author and disagree with the other commenters. I bought this NFT, years ago, and for the majority of that time the website was down, and I had nothing to show for anything other than a record on the blockchain showing I wasted a bunch of money in a pyramid scheme. (I knew what I was buying into and learned a lot in the process, but it's hard to suggest that NFT's have any real ownership that comes close to purchasing actual artwork. NFTs don't protect the images that decorate them. The NFT is a cryptographic token on the blockchain. I've never seen such a blatant gas lighting. If the person spent 20 more minutes to understand NFTs they could have saved themselves the effort of making this site. Next time just start an IFPS server and share the images more efficiently. Do you know what IPFS is?
