Discover your next tasty adventure through tastebase’s daily snack matching algorithm. As avid snack fans, here’s why we started tastebase in the midst of COVID: 🥑 We were hungry for better: stuck at home during the pandemic, our team of snack lovers from Yelp, Philz’ Coffee, and Culture Trip, quickly grew tired of the aesthetic crazed world of Instagram. While we browsed based on branding, we realized we had zero idea about how the products actually tasted. So we wanted to help bridge the growing gap for other snack fans between what we see (aesthetics) and what we eat (taste). 👅 Taste is personal: each of our tastes are so personal to us. But then why were we being fed the same beautifully packaged brands over and over again? With over 20,000 new products each year and so much fluffy marketing, we wanted to clear out all the noise and personalize the experience based on our unique taste profile. 📍 An honest space: we wanted an honest space that focused on the #1 thing that mattered most to us, taste. Movies had Rotten Tomatoes, restaurants had Yelp, and books had Amazon. But what about snacks? We’re aiming to build a product that can be your personalized recommendation engine for all things food and beverage products. So no matter what you do or where you are, you can find the perfect snack for the perfect moment with tastebase! We’re hungry to learn, grow, and build an even tastier experience for you.
