Hi PH, We are super excited to finally launch our product here, especially on Blindness Awareness Month. There are about 250M visually impaired people around the world. In the US, 70% of blind people are unemployed. Two years ago, we started working on the Supersense App that kindled a new generation of experiences and opportunities for blind individuals worldwide. Our community partners with Carroll Center for the Blind, and our thousands of active users have been educating and motivating us to try many new things. We have been working to empower this community with AI technology and the Supersense app. In short, our app is an AI scanner that reads any text format and explores any physical surroundings. The app uses the rear camera of your smartphone to scan the document or the environment. Some of our unique and exciting features are; We built an AI that automatically estimates what the user is trying to scan, guides the user to hold the camera in the right position, and reads the content in the correct format. This is kind of a new “super-accessible” UX paradigm that is designed around blind users. Some blind users are not very tech-savvy or are not good at estimating where the document is, and they love this UX. We developed an AI that detects objects and narrates them to the user. Users can pick specific objects they are looking for, like doors, stairs, etc. and scan their environments for them. We are currently working on Depth & Distance mode to estimate the points of depth and on an AR-based indoor navigation system to let people save their routes, re-trace them, and share them in their community. We are also exploring what the Lidar sensors in the new iPhones can do for this community. We are a growing team, so please help us spread the word! Our team will be here in the comments and happy to answer any questions you have! Cheers, Emre from Supersense P.S. We are very embedded in the blind and visually impaired community and if you would like to get involved in helping this community, reach out to us at info@mediate.tech. There are a lot of problems to solve! P.P.S. If this product is not for you but you would still like to show support to our team, you can buy us a coffee too! ☕️ : https://www.buymeacoffee.com/sup...
