What do you think? …

Matt Holsinger
And here I am, storing butter in my butter dish like an idiot when I could be using it as a phone valet.
Matt Holsinger
I jest, but it's a pretty sleek design that would look nice on my desk. I don't really have a use for it, personally, but I see the value in it.

@mattholsinger Hi Matt - made you a believer :). We associate a butter dish to well... butter. Humans need visual cues to build habits and routines around their phone. We're the visual reminder to switch off once in a while. And when you do, it blocks all signal without app or power. You're set on your way to offline bliss. We're launching on Kickstarter next week - subscribe if you'd like via http://www.getstolp.com

Just to be clear, this is like a Faraday Cage, not just a butter dish for your phones?
Julien Yee
@joshuapinter Exactly!

@julien_yee That's actually pretty cool. You should make one for tablets too! I know businesses could use these as well for testing loss of connection, etc.

ha ha ... love it! £50 for a butter dish. And you need a kickstarter for it? Seriously though, I have a 'Stolp' on my phone already - I call it the 'off button'. Is it vegan?
Julien Yee
@pointandstare thanks for the irony, I can appreciate that. So tell me, how many times did you put your phone in 'airplane' mode or a shelf today?
