The all-in-one travel app to replace your itinerary spreadsheets, cost splitting apps, packing list apps, recommendations & spread out travel apps. All you need, packed in a super user friendly overview, easily shareable with friends & family!
Hey PH!
I’m Luuk, along with @navaie & @omar_sheshtawy, creators of Stippl!
We launched Stippl last year (also on PH) as a web-app only, now it's available on IOS & Android as well!
Stippl is the all-in-one travel planner you've been looking for! You can use it to replace your excels, notes & scattered links.
Alongside the mobile app we are also introducing:
1. Easy way to save all your favourite places (think google maps but categorised & easy to share)
2. Budget & expenses management. No more need for apps like splitwise on your travels, just use Stippl!
3. Packing / checklist. Pick a template, create your own or even create a shared packing list with your fellow traveler!
All of this, added onto the itinerary planner that is Stippl's core.
Again, we're eager to get feedback from the PH community to make Stippl better and better every day!
Love to hear your feedback and what you are missing in Stippl now! Comment below or just email me at luuk@stippl.io, happy to answer every email personally :)!
As you asked last time why launch a web-app and were already testing another app yourself, curious what you think about our mobile app @rrhoover !
Focus is now really on group travel as well with shared packing lists & splitting costs :)
Not at all easy to use. Very hard to delete or edit content if you change your mind about anything, especially dates and destinations. Worse, there's no help guide. I've spent many hours trying to make this work but there is always something that doesn't work or can't be changed. Worse, the creators aren't at all helpful as emails and feedback are totally ignored. I want to plan a trip next year and I'm spending far too much time trying to guess what to do rather than planning. And then getting pissed off because what I want to happen doesn't happen. It's like it wants to be clever but doesn't care about all the normal stuff such as being user-friendly (as in intuitive) or doing good customer relations. No app can possibly survive if its users spend hours trying to make it work. I've spent a few weeks trying to master the app. Unfortunately, the results are so-so to awful. I have contacted the makers several times and they can't be bothered answering my really basic enquiries. Another few days and I'm out. And suggest you go too.
Hey Jack, first of all, sorry you did not receive any reply from us makers. What email did you use to reach out to us? We normally answer all emails sent to support@stippl.io within 48 hours, so I'm very sorry we missed yours!
Next to that I'm curious what you used, the app or the website? The experience on the website is a bit outdated indeed, we've already included many new features on the app for more flexible planning.
I'm sorry you've had this experience and if you'd reach out to luuk@stippl.io (my personal address) I'm happy to help you with any questions.
We do also have a youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Stippl/... that explains some features. We are still expanding that as well.
Sorry again that you've had this experience and hope I / we can help you improve on it.
Kind regards, Luuk Verhoeven CEO
Stippl has a lot of potential, but it’s not quite there yet. The idea behind the app is fantastic, and it’s clear the developers have big ambitions. However, the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
The biggest issue is the app’s stability. It crashes far too often, which makes planning frustrating. There are also basic bugs, like not being able to add items to an existing plan, that really hinder its usability. These should be fundamental features that work seamlessly.
I’ve also shared feedback with the developers about adding a day-by-day planning feature, which I believe would make the app far more useful. Right now, the app is designed to plan location by location, which feels limiting. Unfortunately, this feedback seems to have been ignore (I didn't reven received a reply to my email).
It feels like the focus is on monetization rather than fixing these core problems and improving the user experience. Stippl could be a go-to app for travel planning if these issues were addressed, but in its current state, it’s more of a source of frustration than a helpful tool.
So sorry to hear your feedback was not returned we truly appreciate it! We were aware of some stability issues that are now mostly addressed, would really appreciate if you'd try again!
On the day by day we plan to include that in the coming months, totally agree!
I would be grateful if you'd try again and I'm very much open to more feedback, you can directly reach out to luuk@stippl.io if you want, very happy to hear your feedback!
For inviting friends:
Instead of entering their email, creating a group and having an invite link for friends to join would reduce the friction in onboarding.
Product looks good. All the best for the launch.
