Sounds brilliant. I've kept manual notes for friends in the phone contacts app, but that's pretty useless and it doesn't give me reminders. Looking forward to giving it a try.

@ducoffee thanks a lot! I agree - sometimes I would try writing notes in the standard Contacts app, but it isn’t a great experience.

@viveknb just a few notes here, I'll add a review as well. Sparkbook is working well and I've been following up with friends I haven't spoken to for quite some time! A few features that would great to have: * Need more connection options - SMS/imessage text and phone are good, but a trigger to e-mail or other texting apps like Whatsapp would be good. * For a set of randomly selected contacts for a week, having a reminder on more than 1x per week would be good, with notification. * Like with Amato, having an ability to set specific days to remind for specific contacts would be useful -- so random generally, but for specific people add a regularity to it. Great product, good luck with the continued development!

Michael, so glad to hear Sparkbook has helped you re-connect with people! Good suggestions. How would other connection options ideally work for you? Would they differ contact to contact, or would the additional options be standardized across all contacts? I haven’t heard of Amato - I will check it out. Thanks again for taking the time to provide such thorough feedback!

Hello Product Hunters! 👋 I'm Vivek and created a smart phonebook for iOS called Sparkbook. My friends and I love keeping in touch with each other after we all moved away from Boston to different parts of the world, but we always lament that we’re not doing a good job. Sure, there are lots of social media avenues to “keep in touch”, but endless scrolling on your social feeds isn’t going to keep your friendships strong compared to actually talking to your friends. Even if you regularly keep in touch, sometimes you forget where you left off and miss the opportunity to have a deeper connection. I built Sparkbook to help you solve the problem of keeping in touch by keeping a regular rhythm of conversation going. Though I've had the idea for years, the pandemic certainly ignited my urgency for finally acting on it. This applies not only to friends, but business contacts as well. What the app includes: ✅ pick your favorite contacts ✅ intelligently shuffle them ✅ take notes to pick up where you leave off ✅ send pre-written texts to spark conversations ✅ get a social check-up to see whether you're igniting new sparks or strengthening only a few relationships ✅ own your data - all your data is stored locally on your phone I hope you enjoy using the app as much as I do. Happy to answer any questions!
