Introducing SongSens.ai, a website that uses artificial intelligence to provide translations and insights for songs in virtually any language. Whether you're learning a new language or simply curious about the meaning behind your favorite foreign tunes, SongSens.ai is here to help.
We all know the song Macarena, right? You might think it's a fun song about dancing. But did you know that the lyrics are actually about a girl named Macarena who's cheating on her boyfriend with two of his friends? It's a perfect example of how we often sing along to foreign songs without understanding the true meaning behind the words.
With SongSens.ai, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the songs that move you. Our platform offers more than simple word-to-word translations. It provides contextual understanding, pronunciation guides, and detailed explanations for specific lyrics, thanks to the power of advanced AI technology.
This side-project was born from my own quest to learn languages through music. While listening to Chinese and Hokkien (Taiwanese) songs, I faced the struggle of not just finding translations, but finding ones that would actually help in learning the language. Over the past months, I've been working to create SongSens.ai from scratch.
Check out these examples of translated songs:
浪子回頭 (Back Here Again) by 茄子蛋 (EggPlantEgg) (Hokkien/Taiwanese)Off The Record by IVE (Korean)Soy Peor by Bad Bunny (Spanish)
For a limited time, I'm offering everyone who signs up 3 free translations to experience the magic of SongSens.ai firsthand. After that, you can access additional translations through our affordable credit purchase system. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with your favorite songs like never before!
SongSens.ai also allows you to discover songs from various countries using the Spotify API. However, to ensure that we provide translations for songs in the native language of each country, we need your help! If you have Spotify playlists featuring popular genres in specific languages, please send them my way. This will help expand our database and offer a better selection of foreign songs.
As someone who's not a professional developer, creating SongSens.ai has been a learning experience for me. I've poured my heart and soul into this project, and I'm excited to share it with the world. This launch is just the beginning, and I welcome any feedback or issues you might discover along the way. Your support means everything to me.
Sign up now and start uncovering the true meaning behind the songs you love!
@thisisroman Very cool idea! I knew about the technique of learning languages through subtitled songs, but it was uncomfortable to watch unknown words separately. And here your realization is fantastic! Good luck to you guys!
@thisisroman wow 😲
I was thinking of something similar to help me learn Spanish through my playlist.
I'm glad someone made it !
Congrats on the launch 🎉
I will definitely give it a try for

Thank you!

Great idea, congrats!
I love how it shows the current line only, thus keeping me focused.
From navigating the website, I could only find one sample song (the Korean one), while your comment suggests there are two other sample songs.
Since generating a song takes a few minutes, having more pre-generated sample popular songs (say last year top hits), might be beneficial to boost conversion. Those pre-generated songs could still be purchased with credits, so you don't lose on monetization.
I'm a bit confused about the UX of which line I'm reading vs how many lines are available already vs how many lines in total. ("13/55+ still generating")
I tried the song Alvaro Soler - Sofia, and it wrongly guessed Spanish pronouns. "Como te mira dime" most likely would be "how he looks at you", instead of "she". The explanation is a bit naive, "Curiosity about how someone else perceives Sofía". Rather, it's a bitter sentiment towards Sofia's new partner.
@murfel Thanks so much for the feedback!
In my comment above you can find the other samples by clicking on their names. I like the suggestion of adding to the homepage as well, good suggestion!
I will look into revamping the line numbers to make them clearer, I agree that this is not as clear as it could be.
About the pronounce, I will see how this can be fixed. It's feedback like yours that helps improve it!
