I make Simple Fast Translation when I was looking for a lightweight translation tool for macOS that doesn't rely on an internet connection. As someone who values privacy and simplicity, I needed something that could quickly translate text without the need to go online. Simple Fast Translation perfectly fits that need! You can select words or sentences and trigger the translation with a simple keyboard shortcut. It's seamless, efficient, and works offline—exactly what I was looking for.

After you download and open the app, you need to install two plugins: the first plugin is Apple script for calling shortcuts; The second plug-in is the shortcut instruction, which is used to invoke system translation. Then you can select some text and press the shortcut key you set to display the translated result. (After pressing the shortcut key for the first time, you will be reminded to give the app auxiliary permission, you need to exit the app and re-open the app after completion)
