Is there option to not use Facebook for sign in and just NORMAL email registration? Or even better — use service without registration to store reading list locally in Chrome?

@michaelbabich Thanks for the feedback. We do plan on including other registration options, it's just that for now, Facebook was the easiest solution being that some of our features (like filtering the Discover page by your friends or adding collaborators to lists) are built directly on top of Facebook.

@jeffweisbein Sorry. Pass. I do not give access to my social data even to service I know.

@michaelbabich fair enough, like I said, we do plan to add additional authentication/login methods, so stay tuned! :)

@michaelbabich I also wanted to make clear that we don't have access to post anything to your profile or see your friends, etc. Additionally, you can block access to things we request if you don't want to share that information.

@jeffweisbein I hear you. BTW, I'd recommend not to copy-paste comments on the same page--it doesn't look attractive or personal conversation.

I have to ask, @jeffweisbein, how is this different than Pocket?

@rrhoover so we designed the Shout app to be a bit more social and offer some different functionality than Pocket. There are two main types of Lists you can create within Shout: Private (the default) or Public. Private lists are obviously just for you, however, Public lists are displayed in our Discover page within the app so you can easily find human curated lists on things that interest you. Additionally, both Private and Public lists can also be collaborative, so you can add your friends to a list and Shout content together--we're really excited about this feature and think it'll be really popular. We also built-in a newsletter feature, allowing list creators to email a newsletter / digest of all the latest Shouts in a list to people who follow that list. There's a lot of other really fun and unique features we have in the works. Hopeful you'll give Shout a try and see for yourself! :)

I was going to use the app but once I saw Log in with Facebook was the only option I deleted it.
