Hi Product Hunt! I’m Sal, co-founder of Sellou. We want to redesign the way we experience shopping online 🛍 , and are passionate about making selling easier and more accessible to anyone! We’ve been working on this for a while, and we’re really excited to share it with you today. 🥰 Why Sellou? We’re building a marketplace that makes selling accessible to anyone. 🌎 🌍 🌏Our aim is to let creators have more free time on their hands to do what they love the most - building products for us to enjoy. Whether you’re an artist, potter, or dream of owning a small stationary store, we’re here to make selling far less of an obstacle. We hope that Sellou can make your dreams of owning a small business or scaling it a reality. 🌠 We believe that the future includes infrastructure to support the growth of small businesses all over the world, and opening an online store should be easier and accessible to anyone on the planet. Including people who simply have things lying around the house that they would rather sell than give away. The app is FREE, and here are the features available to users! - Sign up and “Become a Seller”, simply click on the settings icon in your profile and input your details for verification. This usually takes a day until you’re ready to sell! - Businesses can sign up as “Verified Sellers”, you get a cool blue checkmark to show people that you’re a legitimate business, and that you’re able to fulfill orders more easily. ✅ - Payment is done with Stripe: As soon as a buyer purchases your product, you receive your payment directly in your bank account within a few days. - International shipping is enabled! ✈️ Ship to anyone on earth, and they’ll receive your product within a week. 🗺 At the moment we’re exclusively working with express carriers so prices vary greatly. Shipments are accurately tracked on their respective websites, and express carriers deliver to most countries. - Post photos exclusively from your iPhone: 📱 Our images are posted on a portrait aspect ratio: images can only be taken from your phone, and the background can be filtered easily! - Add a specific quantity (ex. 3) of a product. Once that quantity has been sold the product is automatically delisted. Previous posts can be reused if you end up with more of the same product in stock. - Post detailed descriptions of each product you have to sell. 🏺 - Security: Each seller undergoes a verification process, and no personal details are stored beyond what is strictly necessary, we take privacy very seriously. - Dashboard: Track your sales and revenue with an in-app dashboard. Look at how much you’ve made, how much is on the way, and other details. - Chat: Talk with your buyers or sellers to confirm tracking details, estimated delivery, etc. - This is more of a request, but please report all crashes if you encounter any, we would love your support on this ❤️ 💪 What we need This is Sellou’s open beta, so we need feedback! This is nice! I remember back in 2007 —as a webmaster— it was my job to use Photoshop and modify product images for e-commerce website. This could take months of 9 to 5 job. As a Growth Hacking protip you should include a QR code to scan on your landing page for people like me who are lazy to: - Grab the phone - Open the app store - "What was the name again?" - ... Instead of - Grab the phone - picture QR - Onboarded! Some app UX feedback - [ ] Create a PermissionScreen where you tell people WHY you ask for push notification or background-location. This is cool. A commitment of shipment to anywhere in the world within a week, looks promising. Will check this out
