Hi everyone! I’m Sherry, Founder of Roster 👋 I grew up watching YouTube and at 14, I started making videos myself - filming on a dusty digital camera, editing on Windows Movie Maker (lol @ when this was still available), and sharing my journey with the world. Over the years, my channel grew to over 100k subscribers, and I juggled the pressures of posting regularly with school (and eventually my day job). Like many creators, I burned out - multiple times. The constant pressure to keep up was pretty overwhelming, especially when you can see your view count dip the moment you slow down. This is why I built Roster. Roster was born out of my own struggles as a creator. I realized that creators don’t lack applicants - they lack the time to sift through tons of spam applicants to find the right talent who just "get" your style. Whether it’s video editors, thumbnail designers, or scriptwriters — what creators truly need is someone who gets their style and vision. But it’s not just about creators. Today, everyone - business owners, coaches, startup founders, e-commerce stores - need to create content to stay relevant. While this is an exciting opportunity, it’s also an immense amount of pressure to consistently produce high-quality content. We’ve worked hard to build something that tackles these pain points, and I’m so excited to finally share Roster with the world.
