I've been using Rex for calorie tracking over the past few weeks and it's great! Super easy to use, really like that I can just take a photo, send it on WhatsApp and that's my calories and macros tracked! The daily overviews are great to track progress. It's also fun to ask health nutrition questions and get personalized answers. I recommend it to everyone who's cares about health and fitness 😊

How Rex came to be 🦖
Our story is deeply personal. It all began when my co-founder @ahmad_roumie started helping me get in shape for my wedding this summer. We spent 3 months of YC mostly in coding and networking events, so naturally we both put on some weight. After three weeks of daily exercise and carefully tracking his diet, @ahmad_roumie had lost 6kg or 13 lbs (full twitter thread here). I was struggling to get in shape, so I asked him for help. He was my accountability buddy. I sent him photos of my meals and frequently asked him for workout advice. I lost 11kg (~25 lbs) in 2 months and looked pretty sexy (at least according to the bride) in the wedding photos. This is how Rex was born. We thought: why shouldn’t everyone be able to get an Ahmad?
