Hi Product Hunt community :) ๐Ÿ‘‹ We'd love to introduce Resonance, an iOS app that enables you to monitor and improve stress resilience through heart rate data analysis and science-backed breathwork techniques. We started Resonance as three university students who were passionate about the topic of breathwork and its influence on stress and the body. I had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that was supposed to be incurable and that was always worsened by stress. Through breathwork, I've managed to keep it under control. Colin had been meditating for years and had spent more than 50 days in complete silence at retreats. He doesnโ€™t really like it when I bring this up - Sorry, Colin! :). And Julian had studied theoretical medicine and had always been interested in the mind-body connection. Our student project eventually got into a university accelerator and later on, we were accepted into Techstars. We then dropped out to fully commit to Resonance. And here we are! So, what is Resonance? The main goal is to better self-regulate and build up resilience to stress long term. Resonance uses breathwork protocols that have been shown to help people improve performance in high demanding situations, and reduce stress and anxiety through stimulation of the stress-relax response - the parasympathetic nervous system. Through regular practice, you can learn to optimally activate your nervous system to smoothly switch gears between performing at your peak and calming down to a good night's sleep. What can you do with Resonance? - Monitor your daily stress resilience through heart rate variability measurements (HRV) a golden standard to quantify physical and psychological stress. No additional sensors required - just your phoneโ€™s camera! ๐Ÿ“ธ - Learn how to self-regulate - Train your nervous system to smoothly switch gears from deep focus to calming down before sleep. ๐Ÿ˜ด - Build up your stress resilience with Resonance Breathing. Practice guided Resonance breathing exercises used in the world of top sports and clinical psychology. ๐Ÿซ - Learn the fundamentals of healthy breathing: Biochemistry, mechanics, and rhythm are all essential for the optimal functioning of the autonomous nervous system. ๐Ÿ’— Our goal for us launching on Product Hunt is to build Resonance with you!
