Pete Bernardo
Hey Product Hunters! 👋 I’m Pete, the founder of Punchlist. Getting feedback on creative projects was usually the worst part of any project for me. I spent more time trying to figure out what everyone was talking about than actually doing the work. So I taught myself how to write code a few years ago and started Punchlist as a side project. Punchlist is a feedback layer over creative work like websites, social media images, and other design-based work. It enables quality feedback without being in the same room or on the same schedule as everyone else. We wanted to try something special for our Product Hunt launch. So we built a page for the PH community to submit projects for review. You can add a landing page, a design mockup, or some new branding you are working on and get quality feedback from other PH users. Our core product is completely free — unlimited projects, unlimited comments, and unlimited collaborators.
  1. Go to https://app.usepunchlist.com/producthunt (or click the ‘Get It’ button)
  2. Check out projects from other PH users looking for feedback and let them know what you think.
  3. You can create a project and add your own website or design to get feedback from the community.
Special shoutout to @chrismessina for hunting us today. Appreciate you and all you’ve done for the PH community.

Thank you @nihalbhushan!

@chrismessina @petebernardo there is such a need for this! Making the proofing process human-centred is the part that most other tools haven't nailed. I'm keen to test it out and have added to https://www.generouswork.com/see...
Great Idea - you might want to think about turning this into a Zoom App as I can see lots of use cases for businesses for this beyond checking design.

@maxwellcdavis oh that's interesting! Thanks for sharing. We agree with you that there are tons of other use cases. We've seen it used for resume review, landscape design, editing books, and a lot of other interesting ways. That's a big part of why we made the core product free. We wanted to see how our user base used the platform. Appreciate your support here, Maxwell!
@walkerskaar do you plan on enabling this for video at some point?
Walker Skaar
@maxwellcdavis can you explain more? We currently offer the option to leave video based comments. Are you thinking it would be more of a full screen recording? Or something else?
@walkerskaar I'm thinking putting the layer over a video playing enabling a user to comment as it plays and have some kind of way that it captures those comments/annotations on the video - could be really useful for editors, creators, etc.
Walker Skaar
@maxwellcdavis oh yes. duh. Sorry it's 4am local time. I agree this would be amazing. We don't have near term plans to do this b/c it's pretty different from a tech standpoint. But we're certainly open to that as a long term possibility!

Congratulations to this amazing team on their launch! Man...I wish I would have had this when I was doing my last startup!?!?
Walker Skaar
@david_payne appreciate you Dave! You'll just have to use it for your next startup I guess :)
Whit Anderson
@david_payne you got it for the next one ;)

@david_payne Full agree! It's been amazing to watch this go down! <3
