Learn how the best startups grow. It's not how you think they grow. Start thinking in loops not in funnels. Explore mental models, best practices, and examples.
👋 Hey everyone. I'm Meelis, the creator of Product Loops.
I created Product Loops originally as my personal wiki for running startups.
Today I'm launching a reworked version of the wiki. It contains the most useful mental models and systems for growing startups.
There’s also a library of product loops examples (growth loops, habit loops, feedback loops) from startups like Bolt, Revolut, Pipedrive, Wolt and others.
Systems over checklists. Mental models over hacks.
** Less Is More **
I've been involved with tech companies for around 10 years. I've founded a couple of startups, worked for Pipedrive and Amazon, and dipped my toes in angel investing as well.
I've always liked to research and organize information.
I noticed that I always came back to the same mental models and frameworks while some other ones weren't working for me. I didn't need "5 ways to hack my startup growth". I needed a system that would deliver results for any startup in any stage. A system that would reflect how startups really grow, not how people think and wish they grow.
So, I started organizing the most useful mental models into a wiki.
I initially only covered marketing but growing a business is so much more than marketing. In fact, isolating marketing and product management is one of the typical mistakes companies make.
So, this wiki is about growing startups with an emphasis on product loops: growth loops, habit loops, and feedback loops. The first two are sometimes also called product-led growth.
While it is still my personal wiki, I'm making it public today.
** The Principles of the Wiki **
- Limit the noise
- only the most useful mental models
- only evergreen content
- Focus on software companies (especially SaaS)
And the most important principle: make it useful for me personally. I hope you will find it useful as well when trying to grow your own startup :)
Thanks for creating this @atjackiejohns !
This resource is GOLD for any founder, operator looking to fuel growth for their startup through growth loops and PLG.
