Do you ever feel overwhelmed by a project? And instead of starting it, you procrastinate? Powerhour is here to help. It helps you organise your project into smaller and achievable milestones and turns them into a game.
Hey guys, Ben here 👋.
At just 16 years old, I'm probably one of the youngest founders here on Product Hunt.
I wanted to share with you the launch of my very first app: powerhour.
A lot of people I know struggle a lot with procrastination after starting new projects or trying to build habits, so I'm building this app that essentially turns your projects into a game.
This is just an MVP at the moment and is not perfect yet, but I am iterating as fast as I can based on user feedback, so any feedback on how to improve will be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot 🙏.
It seems like an interesting approach to motivate your team to work during the hot summer months. I would personally introduce some real-life awards at the end of the specified time frame.
@andriyuh Thanks for your feedback and an interesting idea. So you mean that an "administrator" could set some rewards and make it an internal competition for those rewards?
@andriyuh I thought a lot about your suggestion today. The current version is aimed more at individuals trying to overcome procrastination with this app. However, I think that powerhour has even more potential and I am thinking of a new product that is much more focused on your use case. It would be called powerhour teams (or something similar) and it would be aimed at teams (e.g. within companies) to motivate them more and turn working on collaborative projects into a game/competition. What do you think about this proposed new product? Can I keep in touch with you about this potential future product?
@ben_martin8 Sounds great. I suggest you research potential competitors in that case and think of that new iteration of the app as something that's not imperative on the coworkers but rather as something that should be fun and not imposing on their workload. Would love to keep in touch (you can find my SM accounts on my profile)
