@anna_0x Popups are one of the most powerful tools for communication on the website. So far we've had experience with popups, like ads and bad designs. But we are replacing this with new generation designs and advanced targeting options as the right method. That's why we see that popups still continue on many websites, including big brands like Google and plus 1000+ Popupsmart customers.

@elbeyoglu@anna_0x Hey there, the mechanism like any works based on a series of components that come together. The intent to interact with the popup and take action is based on what you say on that popup and the appeal for which it has for the user.
I hear the "annoying" feature of popups often. However, I also know that the idea that people can be bothered to learn site navigation and where exactly the offer or benefit is on your website, is increasingly impossible to resolve by design, and that users no longer have the time or patience to explore. Hence why you need to put things in a persons face. And why pretty much every website is lighting up for a Christmas tree trying to get your attention.
In terms of how well they work, they do but that depends on how strong your offer is.
@ia_marketing honestly, even if a website shows me a popup advertising something that I really like and would under normal conditions buy, I’m not going to, because I hate popups. It’s the same as if someone came up to me on the street offering to sell me something: I wouldn’t care what it is; you can’t just throw stuff at me uninvited.
Hey there @anna_0x I thought you were asking for some honest feedback based on data as you inferred with "can you show me some data based analysis". I tried to provide you with this frame and explain why they work. However, on reading your reply it does actually seem that you simply wanted to confirm your own subjective viewpoint, and I realize now that I wasted my time.
A website that shows you a popup for something you really like is a bad popup.
