As an engineer and psychology enthusiast, I’m curious that how did your consulting background influence the design? Also, what do you see for the future of storytelling? I’ve been thinking of it like a ‘pathfinding algorithm’ that triggers emotions to drive action, similar to the Elaboration Likelihood Model in psychology. Do you think AI could push this even further by tailoring stories to maximize both engagement and conversion?

Our background in consulting and working with hundreds of clients is what led us to focus on integrating into existing presentation workflows, rather than launching a standalone new app.
Professional presentation creators don’t want to learn a new tool to use AI. (Same as the engineers who want to continue using VSCode with AI.) Our job is to imagine and build the best integrated experience for them!
As for the future of storytelling, I think AI changes a lot of things, but I don’t think it changes the fundamental human response to good stories. We’ll be able to help more people tell their stories better by raising the bar on the average output. And we should also be able to speed up the time it takes exceptional storytellers to create a slide deck as well!
