Shared calendars is a tricky problem to solve. We have tried it in the past. How do you handle privacy for shared events? For example, can I control who sees certain events on a shared calendar?
@ashitvora It is a very tricky problem! To ensure the user has a variety of options, privacy for events can be handled at the calendar or friend level. It all happens on our Share Menu -- you should check it out! 🙂
I like how you focus on “what’s next” instead of just what we’re doing now or did in the past. Shared calendars sound great for feeling closer to friends and making plans easier, but I’m wondering how you keep everyone’s privacy and comfort in mind.
For example, how do you make sure a user can share plans with some friends but keep them hidden from others?
@junloayza We give users the ability to control privacy at a calendar and plan level so they have a lot of flexibility in who sees what. For example, plans can be added to private or shared calendars and then sent individually with friends or groups. Though a lot of different combinations are possible, our Share Menu makes this easy for users to select / deselect on the fly. You should check it out! 😄
