All - I'm excited to share my app PlainScribe with you. PlainScribe essentially makes it super simple to transcribe (and translate) your audio and video files. PlainScribe leverages the OpenAI Whisper API under the hood. You can effortlessly convert large audio and video files into perfect text. Just upload your files, and watch the magic unfold! We support all of the popular audio and video formats as well as transcription for 54+ languages. Whisper is cool but has limitations on which files you can process and a 25MB limit. PlainScribe takes your file, converts it into the correct format, splits it into smaller chunks, processes them, stitches it all back together and alerts you when everything is done. I was tired of the Saas model and wanted this to be based on usage. The Pay-As-You-Go model of pricing it per hour ensures you only pay for what you use, making it a cost-effective solution for all your transcription needs. Right now I'm setting the rate at a ridiculous $1/Hour and, to give you context, most of the big players are charging around that per minute! PlainScribe automatically deletes your data after 7 days as well. So, you can feel safe that your files are secure and won't be out there on some random server once you're done with them.
