Hi, Product Hunt Community 👋🏻,

I for one really love the utility of email newsletters. I have probably subscribed to one too many already but most of the time I found myself overwhelmed with the sheer amount of daily volume in my inbox. I try to minimize the time in my emails to begin with and this often leads to me avoiding them altogether.

I am the type of person who likes to stay informed and learn new things along the way, but I absolutely dislike the reading experience and formatting inconsistencies of emails.

I often ask myself, why is the user experience of email newsletters so bad?

🚀 The solution:

To solve my problem, I build pikr, an easy and fast solution that acts as a middleman between my inbox and my Notion Workspace. pikr:

✅  processes my newsletters,

✅  summarizes them with AI,

✅  and puts the articles right where I manage all my personal and business-related stuff (Notion).

The perfect solution where my inbox stays clean and the articles are delivered directly into my Workspace. It’s like room service, but for my brain.

💾 Notion Integration:

FYI: The whole Notion part is totally optional. Everyone can use pikr as a standalone platform to enjoy your newsletters.

🛠️ Here’s how pikr works:

1️⃣ Connect your Gmail and (optionally) Notion with pikr.

*️⃣ (a magical new folder will appear in your mail client)

2️⃣   Drag any email from a newsletter into your custom pikr* folder.

3️⃣  Done!

From now on pikr manages all incoming emails from that sender and puts them right into your Notion Workspace.

... and the best part is, it's free.

⬇️ Write me your Feedback, I am curious!

🔥 Why pikr stands out?

Many companies solve the “HOW you get something” but never think over the edge and also consider WHAT to do with all the information apart from reading or copying it to the clipboard.

WHERE is the user experience?

WHERE is the exploration, the storage, the integration, the connection to all the tools we already use?

pikr’s mission is to let you pick anything from the internet and store it right where you keep all your data safe and sound. Page summaries, automatic process documentation, AI-powered search, everything you could ever need to save time. We’ve got it (or will get it, eventually).

We’re building the most pleasant and convenient browser experience, where you don’t even have to leave your comfort browser. With pikr, the cool stuff is, as always, delivered right to you. No switching tools, no extra hassle.

I know it’s still very early but I think we have built a solid foundation to expand upon.

Be the first to support our goals. You won’t regret your decision (pinky promise)!

🎁 A little something special for you

If you have made it this far, thank you very much! I have a little launch present for you. If you are interested in supporting pikr we have a special launch lifetime deal where you can save up to 64% on our pro plan (all the feature updates are included, of course). But don’t tell anyone 🤫.

📢 A sneak peek into the future

  • Daily digests for your newsletters (coming next month)

    • Get the most important insights for the whole day in one go.

  • Content extraction with AI

    • Let pikr do the heavy lifting in summarizing, extracting, and documenting articles or processes for you.

  • Explore your interests

    • Tell pikr what you are interested in, and it prioritizes based on your preferences.

    • Dive deeper into any topic with advanced AI search.

  • Storage Vault

  • Browser Extension

    • We want to expand all the features you know and love to the whole interwebs.

@dineshan_sithamparanathan thank you!

Still a lot to do, and a lot to learn, but I think we have built a solid foundation for all the planned features.

To what extent do you have access to my emails? All emails? Or can I choose from which recipients I want to have read emails?

@busmark_w_nika thanks for the question. pikr has ONLY access to one folder, the pikr* folder (which appears automatically after signup). We will only process what you put in the folder. So you have full control over what we can do with your emails.

And you always have the option to delete all your data from pikr.

Managing newsletters in Notion instead of drowning in my inbox? Yes, please. This sounds like a great way to actually make use of the content I subscribe to instead of ignoring it.

I love the ease of use. Pikr is always hanging out at the top of my email folders list and in all my Notion task hubs as a pretty little sorting feature. I have struggled big time in the past with keeping my inbox organized. I always see things I want to read on my screen when I'm on the fly, but before had no real place to swipe them into that I would actually look back into later. Sure, Pikr might just be a synced folder at it's core, but it's so much more than that. Thanks for making this!
