Alongside our friends at Snap, we’re excited to reveal Peridot Beyond, a new experience built exclusively for Snap’s upcoming outdoor-friendly AR glasses, the Snap Spectacles.

Peridot Beyond offers an all-new, exciting way to experience the whimsical world of Peridot on-the-go, outdoors, and reimagined beyond the phone screen. With your adorable Dots by your side, you’ll be able to enjoy the vast sense of outdoor adventure – get up close and pet them, explore together to discover food for them, and enjoy playing catch with them. Soon, we’ll also add a multiplayer experience to Peridot Beyond, so any of your friends with Spectacles can interact with your Dots, together. We have even more updates coming afterwards and can’t wait to share them with you! At Niantic we’ve long been dreaming for the day we can bring our amazing experiences to life through the form of true outdoor-friendly AR glasses; ones which will allow players to not only experience their world in a new way, but help them gain a true appreciation and a deeper connection to it. Since the early days of Peridot’s development, we knew the franchise would be a perfect fit for this new era of spatial computing. That’s why we leaned 100% into experimenting with game design that could only be experienced through the lens of camera-based AR. And that’s why we’re so excited to be a launch partner with Snap to bring Peridot Beyond to a “new” reality – the Spectacles are truly a unique platform that highlights a glimpse of what true outdoor-friendly AR glasses have to offer.
