OrgPad is a universal tool. It is good for planning, brainstorming, presentations, storing information, but it's also good for long-term work like learning for an exam or tracking a project. At first, it'll remind you of Mind Maps but it's so much more!

What do you think? …

Alexey Shashkov
This is a very interesting idea. It's not the same as mind maps. When I can't find the answer to a question, I draw a fact-map on paper. It seems this tool can be used for the same thing, but on a computer.
Kamila Klavíková
@shashcoffe That's a good observation! Of course you can create mind maps in OrgPad, but the magic of OrgPad is the freedom you get. Similarly, with paper, nobody tells you how to work with it either. Sometimes I have no links in a document at all, just words. Sometimes it's a complex network of detailed information. Sometimes it's a mix of both. Digital tools allow some things you simply can't do with paper: easily attach other documents, insert images and videos, rearrange easily. It's playful. I'd like to know more about your method. Does it mean that you write down on paper everything you can think of on a given question, try to find connections, and see what comes out?

Exactly! Thanks for such a perfect description. I always describe OrgPad as a blank canvas where you can paint with your thoughts. Moreover, it leads you to create various kinds of graphs spontaneously. I wrote an article about this, I discovered it in the works of children. Unfortunately it's only in Czech so far. But here is an overview of what I called the Free Structuring and meanings of individual graphs. This can be very valuable for creators to understand their work in OrgPad or work of others. https://orgpad.com/o/0965fb61-45...

@shashcoffe Exactly! I found OrgPad when I was looking for a mind map tool and learned to work differently, hopefully better.

@klavikova Hey, Kamila! Thanks for replying! For instance, I want to reflect on the past year and set goals for the next. How I use the method: 1. I'm completely disconnected from the digital world. I turn off all notifications and remove all distractions that might interrupt me unexpectedly. For the whole day. 2. Then I take a piece of paper, and in the very center I write something like, "What can I say about the past year and what do I want to do next year?" 3. I try to immerse myself in a state of strong puzzlement with this question and thus form a strong dominance in my brain. So that I can think about it all day and nothing else. 4. When my brain is puzzled, I start writing out all the facts on paper. That's how I get a big fact-map. 5. After looking carefully and studying the resulting map of facts, my brain loads all these facts into its default mode network and begins to work actively. 6. Then I let my mind wander freely, while I do nothing. I just walk around. 7. After a while, my brain starts giving out a lot of ideas and hypotheses. I write them out and get a map with ideas. That map is my fundament for setting goals and writing plans. 8. I end up setting goals and writing plans. I hope it helps. =)

@petra_bydzovska Thank you for contribution! Wow, your OrgPage about the Czech Republic is one of the biggest OrgPages I've ever seen. And it's very informative. I'll take a closer look later. What was the biggest obstacle for you in creating OrgPages?

@vit_kalisz @klavikova @firas_abboud We have originally created OrgPad for our own use since we desperately needed a tool like this. I can no longer imagine working without using OrgPad daily. And since it was great for us, we also wanted to offer this to other. It is amazing to see it growing every day and helping hundreds of people to achieve more in their lives.

@vit_kalisz @firas_abboud We were super excited, so we hurried up with the first video: https://twitter.com/orgpad_offic... We have more videos in the queue.
